The nearest day care centres, schools and commercial services are located a few kilometres away in the districts of Niipperi and Järvenperä. The best way to access other areas of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area is by car, but buses to Leppävaara and the centre of Helsinki do run through Vanhakartano.
