Instructions for using the online service
How to register as a user for the online service
Follow these steps if you are using the online service for the first time:
- Create a username: On the login page of the online service, click the Create username button and enter your email address. Make sure to use an email address you have access to, as we will send you a message to proceed with the registration.
- Verify Your Email: Open the registration email you received and click the link provided. This link will take you to the authentication page.
- Authenticate Your Identity: Follow the instructions on the authentication page to complete strong identification using either your online banking credentials or mobile ID.
- Set a Password: After authentication, create a password for your account. The password must be at least 10 characters long and include: At least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one number and at least one special character
- Visual guidance on the screen will help you ensure your password meets all requirements.
Once your password is set, your registration is complete. You can now log in to the service using your email address and the password you created.
Make sure that your application is always up to date
It's natural that your situation and preferences may change after you have submitted the application.
Instructions after you have logged in
- Select the housing application that you wish to modify.
- Select ‘Edit application’ (Siirry muokkaamaan hakemusta) at the end of the application summary.
- Review the application details and make the necessary changes.
- Check your details on the summary page and submit the application.
Whenever you amend your application, its period of validity will be extended by three months.
You can also withdraw your application in the same service. In this case, your application will cease to be valid immediately. If your housing application expires, you must submit a new application.

Issues with using the online service?
Forgotten password
If you forgot your password, you can order a password reset link from the login page. You will receive the password reset link via email. The link is valid for 24 hours.
The password must have at least six characters, including at least one upper case letter, at least one lower case letter, at least one number and at least one special character.
Your email address changes
If your email address changes and you want it to be your username in our online service, you need to re-register for the service.
Use your new email address when re-registering and create a new password.
The online service does not work properly on your device
If you notice any display issues with the online service, please try another device (for example, a smartphone or tablet) and a different browser (such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox).
