Apply to be a recycling ambassador!

Want to be a recycling ambassador? The application period has now begun. Recycling ambassadors will encourage their neighbours in their own property to sort their waste more effectively and distribute biowaste bags and waste sorting guides to them. 

We are organising the recycling ambassador campaign in collaboration with the Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority HSY. 

Apply via this link no later than 28 August 2025! (The link will take you to the application on the HSY website.) Residents of Espoon Asunnot can apply to become recycling ambassadors.

We will notify those selected as recycling ambassadors by email no later than 4 September 2025.

Tasks of recycling ambassadors

• You will receive biowaste bags and sorting guides, which you will bundle and distribute to your neighbours. We will deliver the materials to recycling ambassadors between 17 September and 15 October, and these must be distributed to other residents in the home building within two weeks of delivery.
• You will complete a feedback survey.
• If you wish, you can also take other actions to promote sorting. For example, you can share information in your building’s communication channels about current topics related to recycling.

As a thank-you, you will receive

• Two Finnkino movie tickets  
• 50 biowaste bags for your own use

Prize draw between all participating properties

We will hold a draw for an additional €500 budget for resident activities among all properties participating in the recycling ambassador campaign. This budget is intended for joint activities for the building’s residents, such as organising and catering a residents’ event.

Tuesday 16 September from 17:00 to 17:45 online (in Finnish)

The training and information event are not mandatory. Instead of taking part in these, those selected as recycling ambassadors can familiarise themselves with the sorting of waste independently. We provide all recycling ambassadors with the training and information event materials in Finnish and in English.
