Christmas and New Year sauna shifts cancelled due to coronavirus
Despite the strict restrictive measures, the covid-19 situation in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area has not been eased. It will therefore have an impact on this year’s shared Christmas sauna sessions.
Despite tight restrictions, the serious coronavirus situation in Uusimaa, and particularly in the capital region, has not begun to improve. For this reason, Espoon Asunnot has decided that no shared Christmas or New Year sauna shifts will be held this year.
This decision does not apply to apartment-specific sauna shifts – the saunas will be heated as normal for these, including at Christmas and New Year. Please note that it is not possible to clean saunas after every use. This is why every sauna bather must maintain a high level of hygiene. Also, do not use the sauna if you are feeling ill.
For many people, the Christmas sauna is an important part of the festive tradition. We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused by this decision, and we wish you all an enjoyable Christmas.
